Ekovilla X5 air barrier

Ekovilla X5 is a fabric-reinforced air barrier paper for breathable structures. It is used as an internal air barrier, especially with hygroscopic insulations such as cellulose.

Ekovilla X5 air barrier makes easy to build completely airtight buildings ensuring good indoor air quality and energy efficiency.

Installation

Ekovilla X5 is quick and easy to install. It withstands handling without tearing and can be installed even to difficult locations owing to its fabric reinforcement.

The air barrier is fixed by stapling at 200 mm intervals. The joints are overlapped 200 mm or according to construction guidelines and joint durability is ensured by Ekovilla X Sealing tape.

Ekovilla X Reno

Ekovilla X Reno air barrier sheet is intended for use in traditional buildings and summer cottages. It is only suitable for use in hygroscopic insulation.

Ekovilla Smart X vapour barrier membrane

Ekovilla Smart X is a vapour barrier membrane with variable diffusion resistance. Moisture variability increases the drying potential of the structure compared to traditional vapour barriers. It is compatible with all types of fibrous insulation materials.

Installation

Quality PE tape from the Ekovilla X range, with strong adhesive and mesh reinforcement. Suitable for taping the air barrier sheets Ekovilla X5 and Ekovilla X Reno.

Ekovilla X feed-through seal

The Ekovilla X feed-through seal is intended especially for sealing the feed-throughs of ventilation pipes, central vacuum cleaner pipes and electric pipes. The feed-through element has a self-adhesive flange. Thanks to its size the flange part seals even the largest perforations and cuts you need to make for installing ventilation pipes etc.

The flange collar is flexible and forms tightly around the pipe. Installing the Ekovilla X feed-through seal is quick and easy.

Installation drawings for the feed-through seal
1. Cut a hole slightly smaller than the pipe diameter.
2. Clean around the pipe and remove the back papers.
3. Press the feed-through seal firmly into place.
4. Ensure airtightness of edges and pipe by using Ekovilla X sealing tape.
